“An 11-year old boy was reunited with his stolen dirt bike, and the suspect was arrested!

On January 23rd at 1 p.m., a Placer County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the Loomis Train Depot to meet with a theft victim who had found his stolen dirt bike in the parking lot. The bike had been vandalized with spray paint, and the muffler was missing.

The victim told the deputy the bike belonged to his 11-year old son, and they reported it stolen to the California Highway Patrol last week. Through an investigation, the deputy learned the suspect of the theft was 19-year old Dennis Lynch of Loomis.

On January 25th at 10 a.m., the deputy located Lynch at a residence in Penryn. On the property, the deputy found the dirt bike’s missing muffler. Lynch was arrested for vehicle theft, possession of stolen property and committing a felony while out on bail.

Great follow-up by the deputy for identifying and tracking down the suspect!”
