“While you were asleep…Officers were out patrolling and stopped a suspicious van driven by 27 year old Xavier Altamirano.
During the stop, the officer observed drug paraphernalia in the center console and numerous fuel cans set up for siphoning gas.
During a search of the van three catalytic converters were located, one being from the van itself. Altamirano could not provide details of where he got the catalytic converters which appeared to have identification tags removed.
The van was registered to an out of town business which he did not work for; the van itself is still under investigation. Altamirano was booked for possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and drug paraphernalia.
