A man was recently arrested in American Canyon after initially being pulled over for illegally tinted windows, which later led to the discovery of weapons, ammo, and narcotics, according to police.

On the morning of December 27, a patrol officer pulled over 35-year-old Jordan Varner Jr. of Fairfield after noticing Varner’s windows were tinted darker than what is allowed by the California Vehicle Code. During the stop, the officer reportedly discovered Varner had been driving on a suspended license.

Varner was asked to step out of the vehicle and consented to be searched, at which point the officer found controlled substances, paraphernalia, and a motel room card, police said.

A search of the vehicle then turned up ammo, a handgun with a loaded magazine, a drum magazine, narcotics, a pill press, and a scale, police said. Officers later searched the motel room the key belonged to and reportedly discovered another loaded gun.

Varner was ultimately arrested and booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a controlled substance for sale, driving on a suspended license, and other charges.
