Threat suspect arrested!

Originally published as a Wheatland Police Department Facebook post – 

“Yesterday afternoon we were made aware of a threat on social media threating to shoot up Wheatland Union High School. We identified 22-year-old Truckee resident Dominic White as the suspect. With the assistance of the Truckee Police Department, Mr. White was arrested and booked into Nevada County Jail for making criminal threats and is awaiting extradition to Yuba County for prosecution.

“We take all threats against our schools, children and residents seriously and will relentlessly pursue anyone who threatens our community” said Chief Damiean Sylvester. “I am proud of the hard work of our officers in bringing this case to a quick resolution, as well as the assistance we received from Truckee Police Department in arresting Mr. White.”

No other information will be released at this time, due to the holiday’s, all media requests should be made to Chief Sylvester at dsylvester@wheatland.ca.gov.”
