“On December 2, 2021 at around 724 PM, LPD Officers assigned to the Parade of Lights, responded to the area of Oak and Sacramento Street on the report of gunshots heard in the area. Responding officers detained a 17 year old male, who was seen running from the area.

The male was found to have a loaded 9mm Polymer P80 handgun, with an extended magazine, concealed in his waistband. Officers canvassed the area and found that a business on W Oak Street, and an unoccupied vehicle, parked in the 100 block of S Sacramento Street, had been struck by the gunshots.

No other victims were located at the scene and at this time the intended victims have not come forward. The 17 year old male was booked into Juvenile Hall on several felony weapons and gang related charges.
