Squatters Nabbed for Narcotics Sales

UNINCORPORATED THERMAL – A dangerous situation ensued when a recently-condemned property was believed to be illegally reoccupied. The ranch-style abode on the 87-800 block of Avenue 52 was in the spotlight.

An immediate property check was executed by deputies assigned to the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team (SCVCSDT) and the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), on December 2, 2021 at 9 AM.

The early-morning visit resulted in “Approximately eight subjects detained on the property and were found to be illegally squatting,” said Sergeant Mariano Matos III. “During a search of a structure, approximately 2 pounds of methamphetamine, and items indicative of narcotic sales were located and seized.”

Out of the numerous squatters there, a narcotics-sales arrest took place as well:

Ismael Cisneros (49), of Thermal, for possession of methamphetamine for sale, and committing a felony while out on bail.

Arthur Murry (31), of Indio, for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a parolee-at-large.

Manuel Jaime (42), of Mecca, for possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All three subjects were transported and booked at John Benoit Detention Center in the city of Indio. At this time, booking photos are not available.
