Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Attempted Murder Suspect Flees

NORCO – A residence on the 1600 Block of Valley View Avenue was the scene of an assault with a deadly weapon at 3:04 AM on Halloween Eve. Norco Station Deputies were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, Deputies encountered a male victim with multiple stab wounds. While medical personnel were en route – deputies rendered aid to the numerous lacerations.

Shortly thereafter, an ambulance swiftly delivered the anonymous victim to a local area hospital for emergency medical treatment. Norco Special Enforcement Team commenced the next phase of the incident.

The investigation team Deputies ID’d the attempted murder suspect as Ethan Melnikoff (19), of Riverside. Next, Sheriff’s Department Special Investigations Bureau assisted in issuing and executing a search warrant.

The team-up paid a visit to the suspect’s residence on November 3rd. There, suspect Melnikoff was served and subject to a thorough area search – where additional evidence was located.

As a result, the alleged deadly-weapon assaulter was arrested without incident. Melniloff was transported and subsequently booked into Robert Presley Detention Center for Attempted Murder.
