Victim assaulted with a 2×4 at Steamer Landing Park

“On October 25 at 9:00 am, officers were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at Steamer Landing Park.

Officers contacted a 55-year-old male subject, who said he was assaulted and may have a broken arm.  Petaluma FD paramedics arrived on scene and transported the victim to Petaluma Valley Hospital.

The victim was interviewed and said that he had an argument with another subject in the park.  He said the suspect became angry and made his dog bite him and then the suspect struck him with a wood 2×4.

The victim sustained no fracture but had lacerations on his arms.  Officers checked the park but did not find anyone matching the description of the suspect.  If anyone witnessed this incident, please contact the Petaluma Police Department at 707-778-4372.”
