Retail Theft Gangs Arrested

September 20, 2021 – Ventura County
The Camarillo Police Department officers and Ventura County Sheriff’s Department deputies have had a busy few days. According to VCSD spokesman Sgt. Gustavo Macias, things began hopping mid-afternoon on September 18 th , as deputies received a report that “a group believed to be involved in an organized retail theft” where plying their trade at the Camarillo Factory Outlets.

Deputies responded quickly to the scene and spotted 41-year-old Carolina Castillo-Valencia, 34- year-old Johana Morales, and 25-year-old Natalie Marin, all Los Angeles residents riding in a car along with an “infant child” accompanying them. Based on witness reports of their vehicle, deputies conducted a traffic stop as the three women attempted to drive away from the area.

Once deputies made contact with the women, they discovered “stolen property from four different retail stores at the outlets” inside the car. It was also determined that the infant was in the car at the time of the thefts.

All three women were transported to Ventura County Jail, where they were booked on multiple theft and child endangerment charges. Marin was released on her own recognizance while Castillo-Valencia and Morales remain in custody with their bail set at $5,000 each.

The following day, September 19th , Camarillo patrol deputies were alerted to a second series of retail thefts and provided with a detailed description of the suspect vehicle. Shortly thereafter, patrol units spotted the vehicle and brought it to a halt.

Contact was made with 61-year-old San Bernardino resident Roberto Aguilera Guzman, 25-year-old Jaime Angelica Deleon, and 46-year-old Mayra Isabel Ordonez, residents of the City of Lancaster. A quick search of their vehidle revealed burglary tools and “stolen merchandise from seven different stores” with a value in excess of $3,000.

Guzman, Deleon, and Ordonez were transported to Ventura County Jail, where they were booked on multiple theft-related charges. Guzman remains in custody with his bail set at $200,000 while Ordonez’s bail was set at $60,000 and Deleon’s bail was set at $5,000.
