“On August 8, 2021, the Riverside Police Department’s Narcotics Unit received a tip regarding a large amount of methamphetamine coming into the Riverside area.

The investigation led detectives to an older model Volkswagen Jetta found in the Jurupa Valley area of Riverside County where the Narcotics Unit utilized their drug-sniffing canine, “K-9 Link,” who alerted on the vehicle.

Detectives then obtained and executed a search warrant that resulted in the seizure of 10 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, a street value of just under $100,000.

K-9 Link and the team deserve our thanks for getting more poison off our streets and keeping our community safe from drug traffickers. Good boy, Link!”
