“On June 17, 2021, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office affected an arrest warrant in Mexico for 47-year-old Victor Ponce.
With the assistance of the FBI, Ponce was extradited from Mexico on 16 counts of Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child under 14 using Force/Violence/Duress and 2 counts of Distribution/Exhibition of Lewd Material to a Minor.
Ponce was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail and is currently being held without bail.
The Sacramento Sheriff’s Office Child Abuse Detectives originally investigated this case back in 2014 but Ponce fled to Mexico, where he is a citizen, before charges could be brought against him. Ponce will be in Court Monday, June 21, 2021, to finally answer to these charges.”
