“On 05/26/2021 at about 7:30 am, PSPD received a burglary in progress call involving an unoccupied vacation home in the 2800 Block of Sonora Rd. The suspect was described as a male adult stealing a red bicycle from the residence.

Within minutes of the initial call, officers saw the suspect, identified as Joshua Relerford (42 Year Old Male Resident of Palm Springs) fleeing the area on the red bicycle.

The investigation revealed Relerford entered the residence to steal the bicycle. Relerford was arrested for PC 459 (Burglary) and PC 3056 (Parole Violation) and later transported to the Indio Jail for booking.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
