Fort Bragg man accused of attacking other man with kitchen knife

A Fort Bragg man has been arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly attacking another man with a large kitchen knife.

Deputies responded in the early morning hours of April 26th to a residence on the 17000 block of Redwood Springs Drive, where there’d been a report of a disturbance.

At the scene, deputies spoke with 27-year-old Miguel Carrillo-Palomar and an unidentified 21-year-old male, ultimately learning that Palomar had allegedly attacked the younger man with a knife and that the younger man had defended himself and ultimately stopped the attack by striking Palomar multiple times with an unknown object.

Evidence at the scene further corroborated the statements, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Palomar was arrested and booked, with enhanced bail due to the seriousness of the allegations. He remains housed on $30,000 bail.
