“Watsonville police detectives traveled to Bakersfield and arrested Edgar Patino. The 31-year-old Bakersfield native was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on Saturday.

The suspect is accused of shooting a 24-year-old man multiple times in a parking lot on the 300 block of Bree Lane. The victim from the February 28 shooting has since recovered from his injuries.

Patino was identified early on in the investigation as our primary suspect. With the help of our allied agencies, WPD detectives were able to get this man behind bars.”
