“On April 23, 2021 at approximately 0950 hours, Officers of the Banning Police Department were radio dispatched to the area of the 400 Block of East Nicolet Street, in the City of Banning, County of Riverside for a report of a carjacking.

According to the victim, a subject they know as, Rudy Marin, approached their vehicle, pointed a firearm at them and demanded they get out of the vehicle. The victim, fearing for their life, complied and exited the vehicle. Marin fled the area in the victim’s vehicle. Officers conducted a search of the area for the vehicle and the suspect; however, they were unable to locate either at that time.

On April 23, 2021 at approximately 1223 hours, a Banning Police Officer observed the stolen vehicle in the 1700 Block of West Ramsey Street. Officers contacted the driver, who was identified as Rudy White Marin of Banning. Marin was taken into custody and the vehicle was recovered. Marin was transported and booked into the Riverside County Jail for P.C. 215(A) Carjacking, P.C. 12022.5(a), P.C. 667(e)(1) prior strike conviction, P.C. 3455 (A) Violation of PRCS (Post Release Community Supervision).”
