A 13-year-old juvenile was recently arrested after allegedly brandishing a gun whilst illegally driving a car, according to San Francisco CHP.

Earlier this month, an individual called in to CHP dispatch to report that someone had brandished a gun at them from a black Lexus along westbound I-80 on the San Francisco / Oakland Bay Bridge.

Responding CHP units, going off a detailed description of the suspect and vehicle, located and stopped the Lexus at the northbound US-101 exit going into downtown San Francisco. The driver reportedly almost caused a collision in what appeared to be a tentative escape attempt, but ultimately decided to pull over, CHP said.

CHP then removed several juvenile occupants from the vehicle, as well as finding a fully loaded “ghost gun” with an extended 31-round magazine.

The driver, whom police say is only 13 years old, was taken into custody on suspicion of multiple violations. The vehicle was impounded and the other juveniles were released to the custody of family members.
