Madera County deputies reportedly interrupt burglary-in-progress

“On Sunday, 03/08/2021, shortly after 7:00am, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 32200 block of Avenue 10 regarding a residential burglary in progress. Deputies had previously responded to a similar call at this address on 3/4/21 and subsequently made 3 arrests.
MCSO Deputies arrived on scene and contacted two male subjects, one of whom was seen walking around a building carrying a saw and a catalytic converter, the other asleep inside of a pickup truck parked in front of the building. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident.
During the course of their investigation, the suspect confirmed the catalytic converter had just been cut off of a vehicle on the property. Additionally, Deputies located stolen property from the location, narcotics, tasers, an expandable baton, and a pepper ball gun.
52 year old William Alexander Jr. and 26 year old Zachariah Jones, both of Madera, were arrested and booked in at the Madera County Department of Corrections. Jones was booked for burglary, possession of stolen property, and numerous drug/sales charges. Alexander was booked on a felony no bail probation warrant, as well as numerous drug charges.”
