“Thursday afternoon, Feb. 25, 2021 officers responded to a domestic dispute with a firearm involved. As Officers arriving to investigate, the suspect, Zaire Dunlap, a 24 year-old male from San Francisco fled in his vehicle while crashing into an electrical box.
As officers pursued, Dunlap fled on foot. Officers established a perimeter in the area where Dunlap was last seen and gathered information from neighbors. Through the use of de-escalation and training, officers requested support from CHP Air Division, Fairfield Police Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and our police K9 team. Dunlap was located and safely taken into custody. A loaded Glock handgun with an extended magazine was recovered.
Dunlap was arrested and booked into Solano County Jail for: assaulting a person with a firearm, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, kidnapping, felony evading, carrying a concealed weapon, vehicle theft and criminal threats.
Many times it is difficult to know where to find help if you or loved ones are in a Domestic Violence situation.
