A Hollister man has been arrested after being caught with narcotics and multiple illegal weapons, police said.

On the night of January 28, an officer pulled over 20-year-old Daniel Ramirez on the 100 block of Westside Boulevard. Ramirez, who turned out to be on probation, reportedly tried to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended and detained.

Upon searching Ramirez’s car, the officer found a loaded, unregistered firearm along with a second “ghost gun” that had ben converted to fully automatic. The officer also found a variety of drugs in the car that appeared to be packaged for sale, as well as a scale and cash.

Ramirez was ultimately arrested on numerous weapon and drug charges and booked at the San Benito County Jail.
