LBPD Patrol Arrests Man on Stolen Motorcycle

“On January 21, 2021 at approximately 10:09 p.m., Officer Jack Hostetler and FTO Darren Cole made a traffic stop on a Triumph motorcycle with no license plates in the area of Seventh Street and E Street.
The officers checked the vehicle identification number and learned the motorcycle had been stolen out of San Jose, California.
The driver of the motorcycle, Hector Lopez Ibarra was arrested and found in possession of a concealed firearm. Ibarra has prior felony convictions and is prohibited from lawfully possessing a weapon and ammunition.
Ibarra was arrested and booked on charges of possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, possession of a concealed firearm, possession of stolen property, possession of firearm by felon, and other weapons possession related charges.
Ibarra remains in custody at the Merced County Sheriff’s Main Jail in lieu of $230,000 bail.”
