“We received a call of a woman who was physically hurt by her boyfriend. We were told he would not cooperate & that he had several machetes in the home. When we arrived we were able to get her out of the home safely. The man continued to scream at us through the window that he was not going to come outside.

We waited and continued to talk to him, after 2 hours he cooperated and came outside. Emotions can be high during domestic calls. We are here to protect all those involved including the community. We had 3 police dogs, 2 sergeants, 14 officers, a helicopter and a field lieutenant on scene to ensure the surrounding area was also safe.

If you need to talk to someone about domestic violence call 1-888-DVLINKS”
