“On Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at approximately 1610 hours, a Shasta County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by 31-year-old Alicia Marie Richlin of the City of Shasta Lake. City of Shasta Lake deputies had been actively attempting to locate and arrest Richlin for an outstanding felony arrest warrant for failure to appear on drug related charges.

During the traffic stop, deputies also contacted a passenger of the vehicle, identified as 44-year- old Brian Kacy Threet of Bella Vista. Threet was determined to be the vehicle’s registered owner and was found to be on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS). Additionally, Threet had an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant. Both Richlin and Threet were arrested on scene based on their warrants.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, deputies located a loaded .357 Magnum handgun under the front passenger seat where Threet was previously seated. Threet has multiple prior felony convictions and he is prohibited from owning or possessing firearms. A report will be forwarded to the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office for review of Threet’s prohibited possession of a firearm.”
