Crescent City Police make arrest in Elks Lodge burglary case

CASE UPDATE: Arrest Made in Elks Lodge Burglary from November 11th, 2019

On 11-11-2019 Officer from the Crescent City Police Department responded to the Elks Lodge, 359 H Street, for a report of a male subject in the area making a lot of noise. The subject was not located in the area. Officers then discovered a burglary occurred to the Elks Lodge and recovered evidence from outside the building as well as numerous areas inside the building.

Through further investigation and analysis of the evidence items recovered by the Department of Justice, Officer Tyler Balch was able to author and receive a Ramey Warrant on 9-28-20 for the arrest of the named suspect, Donald Ira Baker (age 53 from Crescent City). Baker was then located by CCPD Officers and arrested on the same day the warrant was issued. Baker is currently being held in the Del Norte County Jail on $50,000 bail for a violation of 459 PC, Burglary.”
