Homeowner Catches Suspected Burglar Via Remote Surveillance System

The morning of September 11, 2020, a homeowner was remotely monitoring their home surveillance system when they observed someone break into their 600 block West Grove home.

The owner called Visalia Police Department dispatch.

Police officers made it to the home in time to observe the suspect, Jesus Roque, making his way out of the home through a window. Upon seeing officers, Roque sought shelter inside the house and refused to come back out.

With the assistance of a K9 unit, officers entered the home and arrested Roque; he was found hiding in a closet. He was booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Detention Facility for residential burglary and resisting arrest.
