Santa Cruz police arrest man in connection to fatal stabbing

Santa Cruz Police have arrested a man in connection to a fatal stabbing in the area of Depot Park.

Around 3 AM on Sunday, September 13, police responded to a report of assault with a deadly weapon in the area of Depot Park. There they found a 41-year-old man unresponsive and suffering from multiple stab wounds. He later passed away at a local hospital.

Meanwhile, officers had already been given a description of the suspect that was provided during the initial dispatch call. The suspect, whose name is currently being withheld, was located a short time later and taken into custody on suspicion of murder.
