August 26, 2020 – Santa Barbara County – A search warrant served by Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department on the morning of August 25th lead to the arrest of two men and a woman and the seizure of a small arsenal of stolen weapons, a cache of drugs and currency suspected to be the proceeds of illicit drug sales and multiple stolen vehicles.
According to SBSD Public Information Officer Raquel Zick, Santa Maria residents Donald Anderson, 37, Kimberly Machleit, 35, and 27-year-old Tustin resident Kevin Rasmussen were contacted pursuant to the service of the search warrant on a Santa Maria residence.
During the search of the premises, detectives discovered “605 grams of methamphetamine, 12 grams of heroin,” and paraphernalia indicating an active narcotics sales operation, as well as $2000 in cash. The cops also found multiple weapons, all of which were determined to have been stolen, including “a Smith and Wesson MP15 rifle, a 30-round rifle magazine, a Sig Sauer P365 handgun, a J. Stevens Arms sawed-off 12-gauage shotgun, and two non-serialized 9mm handguns.”
Just outside the house, detectives also seized five motor vehicles determined to have been “fraudulently obtained using various victim’s names, birth dates, and social security numbers.”
All three suspects were transported to Santa Barbara County Jail, where they were booked on various felony and misdemeanor charges including possession of a controlled substance for sales, and being felons in possession of a firearm.
