“On Friday, August 7, around 2:00 pm, a man robbed the Wells Fargo Bank on River Street. SCPD immediately responded and pursued the suspect who sped away in a red Mercedes. State Parks assisted SCPD and pursued the suspect in the getaway vehicle on Hwy 17. CHP located the abandoned Mercedes on Glenwood Drive near Chapel of the Hill.

SC County Sheriffs apprehended the suspect Fernando Gomez near Laurel and Redtail Ridge (near Los Gatos). In Fernandez Gomez’s possession was over $9,000 of stolen money. The suspect bank robber, Mr. Gomez, is a parolee, and the getaway car he drove was stolen from Mountain View.

Fernandez Saul Gomez, 24 years old from Mountian [sic] View, was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail.”
