For some weeks, the Tulare Police Department had been working on a case regarding “fix it
tickets” being signed off by an unauthorized source.

The corrective traffic citations were generally for tinted windows, loud exhausts, malfunctioning lighting equipment, etc.

The Investigation Unit was able to collect several citations with the forged Tulare Police Officer’s signature. The suspect was narrowed down to an individual profiting from forging the signatures, allowing people to turn in the signed ticket to Tulare County Courts without fixing the issue.

A search warrant was executed on July 15th at a house on the 200 block of Colonial in Tulare.

Evidence linking 31-year old Tyler Martinho to the forgery was found. Martinho was arrested
and booked for forgery, identify theft, impersonating a police officer, falsifying court documents, and conspiracy.
