Three suspects, including two juveniles, arrested for alleged carjacking

“On Sunday July 12, 2020, at about 9:41 p.m. officers responded to a carjacking in the 3800 block of Ming Avenue. The adult victim advised he was physically pulled from his vehicle while stopped by four subjects, with one suspect making mention of being in possession of a firearm.

On July 12, 2020 at about 10:06 p.m. officers located the victim’s vehicle traveling southbound on South P Street at Brundage Lane. The vehicle led officers on a vehicle pursuit. Four suspects fled on foot from the vehicle at Truxtun Avenue and Q Street.

During a foot chase, three suspects were apprehended by officers. An additional suspect described as a black male adult, late 20’s, no shirt, black pants, black shoes, thin build, eluded capture. During the investigation a replica firearm was located by officers.

Belteshazzar Cary (18) and two juvenile offenders aged 16 and 15 were placed under arrest. Cary was transported and booked into the Kern County Jail for charges associated with the carjacking. The two juveniles were transported and booked into Juvenile Hall for charges associated with the carjacking.
