Suspects Arrested in Taft for Stolen Property, Drugs

TAFT— Four people were arrested last Wednesday in Taft for stealing and drugs.

Michael Moro, 50, 34-year-old Hank Grisby, 30-year old Martin Orozco and 36-year old Odilon Galvez-Santiago, were all booked into the Kern Jail, on various chargers for drugs, stolen property and vehicle theft.

According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred n January 28, when a deputy discovered a cache of copper wire with subjects leaning over buckets, stripping the insulation off of the wiring, at a home in the 100 block of Pico Street in South Taft.

All of the subjects were detained in the back yard of the residence and after a brief investigation, the copper wire was determined stolen from a utility company’s yard in the Mettler area, along with a stolen off- road vehicle that was reported in a burglary in the 300-block of Buchanan Street in Ford City area of Taft back on January 3.
