A man has been arrested on a variety of charges, including drug possession, after a Solano County deputy pulled him over for driving at night without his headlights on.

According to a press release, the deputy stopped 24-year-old Cedric Vincent along Hillside Terrace at Highway 112 on the night of April 18. Vincent, of San Rafael, had reportedly been driving without his headlights and with no license plates on his vehicle.

Authorities say he initially tried to run from the scene but was quickly detained and cuffed.

Vincent reportedly tried to give a false name and date of birth at first. When deputies determined his actual identity, they also discovered he was on Post-Release Community Supervision in connection to a stolen property possession case.

A search of his vehicle also turned up ignition break devices, a glass break tool, and approximately 35 grams of methamphetamine.
