The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office reports on efforts to help the local homeless population during these trying times –

what’s in the bag?

“As the impact of COVID-19 continues to disrupt our lives, our Homeless Outreach Team continues to look for ways to reach out and help our homeless community.

With the monetary donations of a few local businesses, we were able to purchase hand soap, waters, feminine products, hand wipes, and snacks.

thank you

Along with these items, we included educational printouts regarding general information on the virus and how to help prevent the spread.

The outreach bags were a huge success thanks to the generous donations of Livingston’s Concrete Service, Inc. and our local Walmart stores.

It was refreshing to see all of the happy community members as we passed out the outreach bags to those who need while keeping social distancing in mind.”
