Ukiah man arrested, accused of battering and robbing ex-girlfriend

A Ukiah man has been arrested on battery, burglary, and robbery charges after allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend.

Mendocino County deputies arrived on the 5000 block of Agnes Lane in Calpella just after 2 AM on February 23, where they spoke with an 18-year-old female and her mother.

Deputies learned that the 18-year-old had been awakened by the sound of her ex-boyfriend, 19-year-old Armando Gonzalez, opening her window.

Gonzalez allegedly then entered the house against her wishes and began assaulting her before fleeing with her cellphone.

Deputies soon caught up with Gonzalez at his home, at which point he handed over the phone. On it, deputies found text messages Gonzalez had sent to the victim saying he was coming to kill her.

Gonzalez was arrested on suspicion of burglary, robbery, and domestic violence battery and booked at the Mendocino County Jail on $50,000 bond.
