We always say that we are always stronger when we work together. Last night was a perfect example of that.

Vallejo Police Department sent out an alert at about 5:50 p.m. of a vehicle that was involved in an armed carjacking. One of the suspects brandished a gun and the victim was pepper sprayed.

One of our officers spotted the vehicle traveling eastbound on Interstate 780 and started following it into Martinez until a backup officer arrived. When they tried to pull over the vehicle, the suspects fled and began a high-speed pursuit back into the city of Vallejo. Martinez Police Department assisted and a California Highway Patrol helicopter made sure they never lost sight of the vehicle. The driver lost control of the vehicle on Rollingwood Drive and rolled over. Benicia and Vallejo officers took four suspects into custody. The suspects, juveniles between 16 and 17 from Vallejo and Benicia areas, suffered minor injuries from the collision and were medically cleared before being booked into the Solano County jail.
