Fairfield Police have arrested two local men on suspicion of drug sales as of late last month.

On January 21, Fairfield PD Special Ops detectives pulled over 56-year-old Timothy Purvis in the area of North Texas Street and East Pacific Avenue. Given his designation of active Post-Release Community Supervision, Purvis is subject to routine compliance checks and searches.

An officer and K9 unit were called to the scene. After the K9 indicated illegal narcotics were in the vehicle, officers conducted a search and discovered heroin, eth, a scale, and a loaded revolver.

Purvis was arrested and booked on suspicion of violating his PRCS, along with firearm and drug charges.

On January 23, police served a search warrant regarding suspected drug sales at a residence on the 200 block of Santa Cruz Drive. There they discovered methamphetamine prepared for sales, as well as a loaded .9mm handgun. 47-year-old Sandor Sklar was arrested and booked on suspicion of possessing an illegal firearm and illegal drug sales.
