SLO Sheriff seeking identity of Oceano gas station robbery suspect

The San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office is seeking the identity and arrest of man suspected of robbing a gas station in Oceano.

A man described as a Hispanic adult male with an average build, wearing sunglasses and dark blue or black clothing, allegedly robbed the Valero gas station on the 1700 block of Front Street on Oceano just before 9 AM last Monday, January 20.

Police say the suspect brandished a handgun to the clerk and demanded money. He then fled with an undisclosed amount. No one was injured.

The suspect was reportedly seen getting into a vehicle described as a 2009-2013 Mitsubishi Galant occupied by a second man, which then fled southbound towards Los Berros Road.
