PETALUMA – A collision occurred on October 10th around 8:00 p.m. at Casa Grande Road and Henry Way.

Arriving officers came upon 26-year-old Joshua Ghiotto, who admitted his role in the collusion. Ghiotto gave indications of being under the influence of alcohol.

The suspect’s car flipped on its side after hitting a parked vehicle. A bystander assisted in getting Ghiotto out of his vehicle.

However, Ghiotto “refused to answer any investigative questions or perform any Field Sobriety Tests.”

He then ran away, “became physically combative,” and even grabbed an officer’s throat and threatened to kill him.

The suspect was arrested for DUI and battery on a police officer and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
