DUI Driver stopped with meth, fake checks and more

WEST SACRAMENTO – Just after midnight on October 9th a deputy with the Yolo County Sheriff’s Department pulled over a vehicle on Old River Road whose driver was suspected of driving under the influence.

It turns out that the driver, 40-year-old Shaun Karl, had an outstanding arrest warrant out for his arrest.

In addition, Karl possessed methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, counterfeit drivers licenses and “functioning counterfeit check manufacturing materials including a computer with check manufacturing software.”

Karl was arrested and booked into the Yolo County Jail for using another identity to defraud, counterfeiting checks, possession of counterfeit checks, possession of meth and paraphernalia. He also had a warrant from Sacramento County.
