MAPLE VALLEY – September 13 marked the end of a two-month investigation of Cigar Land Smoke Shop at 22100 BLK SE 237 Street.

Seized at Cigar Land

The Maple Valley Police Department and the King’s County Sheriff’s Office worked together after receiving many complaints about drugs and alcohol being sold to underage youth at the store.

Indeed, the investigation revealed that the 29-year-old manager was selling alcohol, marijuana, and narcotics were all being sold there.

Undercover detectives entered Cigar Land Smoke Shop and bought prescription pills, marijuana, heroin and cocaine.

Ecstasy at Cigar Land

On the 13th detectives served a search warrant on the shop and arrested the clerk working there.

Detectives also found ecstasy, edibles, and dabs (highly concentrated doses of cannabis). While the search warrant was being served, three minors were inside “trying to buy tobacco products from him and discussing prices for harder drugs.”

Since the smoke shop did not have a license to sell marijuana, “the Liquor Control Board has done an emergency closure of the business.”

The Maple Valley PD concluded, “The unnamed clerk was booked for multiple felony counts for narcotics violations.”
