Husband arrested in missing person turned homicide case of 33-year-old Heather Gumina

EL DORADO COUNTY — A suspect has been arrested in connection to the death of 33-year-old Heather Gumina, whose remains were found on Friday afternoon.
That suspect is her husband, 44-year-old Anthony Gumina of Placerville.
Detectives located what they believe are Heather’s remains after serving a search warrant in the Pleasant Valley area.
Gumina was last seen on July 16th and was reported missing on July 19th. Her abandoned car, a 2005 black Infinity coupe — was discovered about a week ago in the El Dorado area.
Her husband was arrested on homicide charges after the remains were found.
