CHICO Police have arrested a local woman following a reported stabbing at a mobile home park last Saturday.

Just after 4 PM on August 31st, police responded to the Creekside Village mobile park on the 3500 block of Esplanade to learn that the suspect, later identified as 29-year-old Jennifer Meyer, had already fled on foot toward the Mud Creek Levee.

Medical personnel provided aid to the female victim before taking her to a local hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Not long afterwards, a resident called to report a woman behaving strangely near the Mud Creek bridge.

The woman, who turned out to be Meyer, was contacted by police and taken into custody on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
