TRUCKEE – On June 23rd the Truckee Police Department responded to a single vehicle crash at Floriston Court and Highland Avenue.

The man driving the vehicle, 34-year-old Gayden Rosales, was suffering from a single gunshot wound to his chest.

Rosales was able to tell officers the identity of his shooter – 45-year-old Michael Woll. Officers were not able to locate Woll at his residence, however the Woll later turned himself in at the Nevada County Sheriff’s substation.

Apparently a dispute between the two men over social media grew into the face-to-face meeting and the shooting.

The victim is in stable condition.

The TPD announced that “Woll was booked at the Nevada County Jail in Truckee for Assault With a Deadly Weapon and Criminal Threats. His bail was set at $50,000.”
