MOUNTAIN VIEW – The Mountain View Police Department has announced the arrest of three individuals thought to be responsible for multiple car break-ins throughout Mountain View, Sunnyvale Palo Alto, and Cupertino.
According to police, a Mountain View Detective was notified that the suspects were in the area driving in a black Infiniti sedan along San Antonio Road heading towards El Camino Real on June 18.
During surveillance police were able to initiate a felony stop in which all three suspects, 39-year-old Oakland resident Marcus Anigilaje, 25-year-old Sacramento resident Troy Collins, and 29-year-old Oakland resident Paul Edwards were detained and arrested.
Due to the hard work of all four police departments, an end of their crime spree cannot come soon enough. All three men were subsequently arrested for burglary, possession of burglary tools, and receiving stolen property.
“I am very proud of the work that was done to catch these suspects,” said Lt. Frank St. Clair. “The multi-agency efforts throughout the investigation were paramount to effectively apprehending three men who have victimized too many in our cities.”
The Department of Mountain View asks, that to please refrain from leaving valuable items in plain view within your vehicle, such as a phone, a bag, laptop, or other valuables thieves could try and steal.
