EL CENTRO – On Wednesday afternoon around 4:30 PM the El Centro Police Department received a “hit” from their license plate reader about a stolen vehicle.

The white GMC Sierra was traveling south on Imperial Avenue when dispatchers jumped into play to help officers locate and stop the stolen truck.

Soon, the dispatched officers located the truck as it was going east in the 1400 block of Ocotillo Drive. Once the driver pulled into the Denny’s parking lot, an officer took the driver 31-year-old Adriana Rivas and the passenger 37-year-old Eric Gragson into custody.

Rivas faces charges related to the stolen vehicle, and Gragson was released without any charges.
