Pedestrian, hit by car, knocks out driver

SAN FRANCISCO – On Wednesday April 3rd, near Geneva Avenue and London Street, a vehicle struck a pedestrian. In an unusual twist, the driver of the vehicle got out to check on the pedestrian, who in turn punched the driver and knocked him unconscious.

The assault victim was determined to be “in life-threatening condition” and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Officers then interviewed the pedestrian, who admitted that he became upset by the incident and hit the vehicle’s driver.

The pedestrian, 25-year-old John Mixon, was recognized as a robbery suspect. He was arrested for assault, elder abuse and two previous robberies.
