CLEARLAKE – An investigation began on the first day of the new year into the alleged sexual assault of a child under 10 years of age.
An arrest warrant was requested for 31-year-old Newark resident David Johnson, and was served at his home in Newark on January 26th
Johnson, was first placed in the Santa Rita jail and was then transported to the Lake County jail.
The Clearlake Police Department announced in a press release, “The Clearlake Police Department would like to thank the Newark Police Department for their assistance. Anyone with information in regard to this case is encouraged to contact Detective Ryan Peterson at 707-994-8251 ext. 320.”
