BLOOMINGTON – A recent “john” operation conducted by the SBC Human Trafficking Task Force nabbed a pandering suspect.

The location of the operation was a motel near the 18000 block of Valley Boulevard. On September 12 “undercover officers posed as prostitutes”  working with an online advertisement.

Consequently, officers received various responses for sexual acts in return for money.

25-year-old Johnathan Buckley contacted an undercover officer and “began pandering the officer to work for him as a prostitute.”

As a result, the undercover officer set up a meeting with Buckley, who arrived at the agree-upon location. Finally, other officers stopped his vehicle and took him into custody.

Therefore he now faces charges of pandering with a $100,000 bail.

Further investigation revealed that Buckley was currently out on bail for attempted homicide in Ontario in March 2017.
