Major Operation Nets 7 Arrests, Cocaine, Meth and Guns

SALINAS – The SPD conducted a major operation recently that resulted in seven arrests. The CHP, ATF, FBI, MCSO and others joined together to serve 6 warrants on August 9.

The 3 warrants served in Salinas occurred at –

• 15 Geary Circle;
• 569 Sunrise Street;
• 1430 Linwood Drive.

The other 3 warrants served occurred at –

• Cordoba Street, Soledad;
• Barcelona Street, Soledad;
• Lagomarsino Avenue, Greenfield.

In total detectives seized –

• half a pound of heroin;
• 1.5 pounds of cocaine;
• 10 ounces of meth;
• three handguns;
• one rifle an done shotgun;
• body armor;
• high end merchandise (Gucci, Vutton, Rolex, Fendi).

Finally, the arrestees are –

• Alejandro Cruz (27) -Possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine for sales – Cordoba Street;
• Eric Lopez (24) –  Felon in possession of a firearm, possession of body armor – Barcelona Street;
• Enrique Lopez (49) – Felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition – Barcelona Street;
• Destinee Zavala (22) – Possession of heroin and cocaine for sales, possession of a stolen firearm, gang conspiracy – Linwood Drive;
• Gabriel Vasquez (23) – Possession of heroin and cocaine for sales, possession of a stolen firearm, gang conspiracy – Linwood Drive;
• Arturo Carreon (25) –  Possession of heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine for sales, gang conspiracy – Geary Circle;
• Frank Guzman (55) – Possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for sales, arrest warrant -Geary Circle.
