REDDING – A report of multiple collisions came in on Monday evening to the RPD. Officers responded to Nicolet Lane, looking for the 2002 Chevy Avalanche involved.

39-year-old Anthony Michael Barone hit a trash can and then a fence.  Then he “continued down the road, striking a mailbox.”

Down Nicolet Lane, Barone next hi another fence “before driving off with tire damage to his vehicle.”

Officers searched and found the suspect in the front yard of a home on the 5400 block of Elm Street.

There parked in front sat his Avalanche, minus a tire, “sitting on a metal rim.” Barone went and hid in the back yard until officers arrested him.

His charges are felony driving under the influence, resisting arrests and hit and run.
