CLEARLAKE – At first the CPD thought it was a burglary call. On May 31 near 5:00 pm, officers came to a residence in the 13000 block of Lakeshore Drive.

A witness told police that they saw four people jumped the fence into the yard of the residence. Responding officers encountered a female outside and three males inside.

23-year-old Sirryan Dumetz stood in the living room. In contrast, two of his buddies jumped through a rear window and escaped.

Police discovered “12 pounds of processed marijuana, packaged in numerous bags.” Also, a black duffel bag held more marijuana and an AK-47 assault rifle.

Cahrges include marijuana for sales, possession of an assault weapon and a high capacity magazine.

The CPD says, “At the conclusion of the investigation we determined a burglary had not occurred.”
